You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free (John 8:32).
The Truth here is the Lord Jesus, Who is also the Way and the Life. I love the way Jesus spoke to Pilate in John 18:35 – “I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” Pilate’s retort was a cunning – “What is truth?” God demonstrated here that unless mankind is in the knowledge of and in receipt of the Truth, they are in bondage. At the time Jesus spoke in John 8:32( you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free), the haughty ones thought it foolish because they believed they were already in freedom. This is the danger of censorship.
Do you notice in these times that the liberal supporters and promoters are always calling for censorship for any and every one that speaks contrary to their beliefs, that includes Believers in Christ? It keeps people locked away from the truth and they are sensitized to lies that keep them in bondage to such an extent that they cannot recognize when they have acquiesced to a life of bondage. Such a strategy has been used by the devil for ages. That is how tyranny and controlling governments become possible.

The persons of influence in our global environment know exactly how to employ the strategy of bombarding the airways with lies, and work overtime with top technology and social media platforms to censor the truth. Didn’t it seem odd to anyone that such lengths were made, through various means, to stop persons from expressing their views on a strategy employed on peoples’ bodies, in the name of health?

Academic freedom to properly educate, is under strain (ref). There was a time that teachers were considered the resource centres of our communities. Now, in order to preserve their jobs, they keep their mouths shut and teach that which conflicts with the knowledge they know is true. When I think about it, it must truly behoove our Christian (conservative) teachers to be telling little children that they can be a boy or a girl at any point they desire. It is not about what God made them with, but it is about how they feel. This truly should make us concerned about what is being produced when our young people leave colleges and universities. What is the quality, integrity and extent of their knowledge? What benefits will they offer? Here is reason for parents to pray even more fervently and keep the Word of God visible in our homes.

Take for example, the situation with legalizing marijuana smoking as opposed to just medical research of the plant. This is a case of questionable decisions based on wrong teachings with long term repercussions (ref) (ref).
Look at what happened to Christianity when the age of Aquarius generation started promoting New Age and hippie movements. A whole generation was under threat of being lost. The Church was being squeezed out. The people were believing lies and deception like never before. However, no matter how dreary things look in a people, God always has a remnant who will intercede and usher in His perfect will on the earth. A most memorable revival took place in California, in the late1960s and spread across the country and several continents all the way into 1980s reaping bountiful harvest of souls among the hippie culture and others. I am sure it must have been quite an explosion to see hippies and new – agers praising the Lord. After all, they were the rebels of that time steeped under the doctrine of the Aquarius Age. The media called this the Jesus movement. Oh, what a beautiful movement that was and continues to be. There is no stopping freedom! Note that freedom is not the same as liberalism. The latter is quite the opposite of freedom in Christ.
No amount of censorship of God’s supernatural move could have been successful and this, like all others, have been etched in history and has left a legacy. Despite the move of the enemy to silence the Church, Jesus spoke and it is seen that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16: 18) The move of the Holy Spirit always causes great harvest; look at the book of Acts. Initially, on the day of Pentecost, in the Upper Room 120 persons received the outpouring of the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:13 – 16; Acts 2); since then hundreds and thousands of millions are filled.
God is not limited to one – off revivals and it seems that every time the enemy wants to squeeze a people through lies and deception, people burst out like toothpaste squeezed from a toothpaste tube, and parachute towards the safe haven of Jesus.
We are in the greatest periods of ‘squeezing’ that overarches all aspects of our societies and the revival and awakening of nations is inevitable. It has already begun in miraculous ways, that only God could have done. I believe that the enemy’s intense pressure on people is literally pushing people towards Christ (Romans 5:20; Revelations 12 :12). By deduction therefore, these must be the greatest and best days of our lives. Many Christians are offended by this type of declaration, because of the extent to which evil is running amok, but that is why the Word tells us to keep our eyes fixed on the above, because that Word reassures us of Romans 5:20. If you are reassured, then you know you can rejoice in the midst of what you are seeing with an expectation of great harvest and continual victory.
The move of God is always to satisfy His heart which is a heart for souls. God’s love for humanity is so intense; He has mercy to treat mankind as if Adam never sinned (John 3:16 – 17; Jeremiah 31: 3, 20; Psalm 103:11). This is the love that frees us to be the masterpiece that He wants us to be. This is the free LOVE that people were created to live in and by and not the ‘free love’ that the Aquarius Age promoted.
Only the former can fashion us into masterpieces.
This is true freedom!
