God's Masterpiece – A blog about Life in Christ

How can this be? How ridiculous is this? How can anyone be like Jesus?

Another dissenting voice says: “I can do this all in my own effort; I don’t need Christ in me because we are all innately good.”

Other religious practitioners practice daily habits to do the good things, without Jesus.”

Well, take a step back to the previous blogs to see the foundation. God did not tell us that we are to be like Him in order for us to try to do it on our own. We are to be like Him, by Him, in Him. This is His Truth and it is not subject to opinion. Therefore, He gave us the ability to fulfill this purpose. He gave us Himself (Philippians 4:13 2:13) .

If you reject Jesus, then it is impossible for you to become like Him and therefore eternity with Him is impossible. This is the only sin that banishes people to hell – if they leave the earth rejecting Jesus. I believe that this is worth repeating because many persons echo something completely different to this truth.

THE ONLY SIN THAT A PERSON COMMITS THAT WILL SEND HIM/HER TO HELL IS TO REJECT THE CROSS – THAT IS, JESUS AS OUR SACRIFICIAL LAMB, GOD BECAME MAN AND DWELT ON EARTH.

Now you can see how purposeless life is, if it is spent rejecting Jesus.

Here are some popular ideologies that promote purposelessness:

God, Yahweh, calls these foolish and futile and they give absolutely no access to Him and His family. Jesus, The ONE, is the Way, the Truth and the Life (to the family of God) and absolutely noone/nobody/nada can come to the Father, except by Jesus (John 14: 6). Take a look at the scripture in John 15: 5. Jesus Himself tells us that outside of Him we can do nothing.

As a matter of truth, all that humanity has tried to do without Jesus, is temporary in God’s eyes (Mark 8:36), because ultimately everything that God does is about eternal life in Him and that can only be through Jesus. There are many organizations and people who call themselves humanitarian or philanthropists but most are labouring to do good without the One Who is absolutely good. Too often, these Godless good are as a result of selfish agenda which will and have resulted in destruction. Medical experimentation in Africa for instance, is seen as philanthropic when in fact there has been destruction of people’s lives as a result (Reference). These are futile efforts and are not God’s standard.

Jesus is God’s standard and He is the WORD that became flesh and dwelt among us, By Him all things were made. In order for any person to have the ability to be seen in that standard, His Holy Spirit has to live in him/her. Romans 8:9 says,

“If you have not the Spirit of Christ (i.e. have not acknowledged and received, by faith, the finished work of Jesus, Who is LORD), you are not of His”.

To be cont’d…
