God’s amazing creations
Let’s take a look at another example. I have always seen the rainbow as another of God’s amazing creations and that has not changed. However, in recent times, without even realizing it, I was subconsciously disassociating myself from it or expressing its beauty as a masterful work of art of God. I became conscious of my withdrawal during a recent family meeting, when my nephew rejected the idea of getting a rainbow cake for his mother’s 60th birthday celebration. She likes rainbows and no, she isn’t gender confused. When he rejected the suggestion, I immediately retorted “the rainbow does not belong to that particular group of people; it belongs to God and His people.”
This stirred up in me a realization that many persons may be in this same boat. The younger generation, for sure, are constantly sensitized to this bereaved mentality towards God’s perfectly architected rainbow that signifies His holy promise, and have handed it over to the devil and his agenda. This is an attempt to arrest our freedom to praise and acknowledge God for His works. The enemy wants us to have him on our mind even whilst we are worshiping God and giving Him praise. The agenda has been described by God as an abomination and because the agenda is from the devil, it is hated by God. To use this perfectly created symbol by God, to represent what He hates, can never change God’s mind, but it certainly is an act of irreverence to Him. Similarly, to use our bodies that are perfectly created by God and hate it to the point of allowing it to be used contrary to His word and will, is irreverence to God.
God is reaching out to humanity, through the Body of Christ, to act in reverence, because irreverence to Him brings destruction. Destruction does not come from Him but from the one who incites irreverence to God, the devil. This is an indication of His love for us. He sees us as so precious, that He desires us not to give the devil room to hurt us.
Since we are talking about the rainbow, it would serve us well to see what the bible says about it. The rainbow’s significance is spoken about in Revelations 10 :1 and 4:3 (And He that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.)
The first mention of the rainbow, of course, as most human beings know, was after God sent the flood to destroy the earth because of the degree of sin of man was overrun. The rainbow was a promise God made with the earth to never destroy it by a flood again, so it represents a covenant from God. In not destroying the earth as such, He is saying He will not destroy man or any living creature as such either (Genesis 9:16). Destruction of man comes from the enemy.
The rainbow does not represent a covenant with an ungodly agenda. So as God’s people we must enjoy all of what God creates and not allow any corrupt motive to rob us of acknowledging and appreciating the things of God provided for us.
The protagonists of the Word have certainly followed a strategy to keep the praises of God‘s people silent.
This is another act of snuffing the freedom of speech given to man, by God.
